Imagine you put a gun on your husband’s head and tell him to take you and kids to Europe on a long vacation.
Or carry a stick to your office and warn your employees to do the quality work otherwise be ready to face the punishment.
Thank God! This is not possible in a free society.
Of course, these are extreme instances but the point is people resist force.
But it doesn’t mean that you lose hope of going to Europe for vacation or getting work done from your colleagues.
The question is how.
It’s no wonder that the situation becomes extremely frustrating sometimes.
So, what to do?
What skill do you need to get things done as per your wish?
The answer is Persuasion.
Persuasion is the most important skill you can develop.
Don’t believe me?
Just see in your surroundings.
Politicians need to persuade people to get votes.
Salesmen need to persuade customers to get orders.
Boss needs to persuade subordinates to get the work done.
Journalists need to persuade bureaucrats to tell the inside story.
Teachers need to persuade students to focus on studies.
Parents need to persuade kids to develop good habits.
Though we’re living in a computer age, still we’re dealing with humans.
For the last 15 years, I’m studying and practicing persuasion.
And now it’s your time.
