If you ask me who is the biggest enemy of your business I would say the person whom I call Dhritarashtra.
In one of the major epics of ancient India, Mahabharata, there was a king called Dhritarashtra, who was not only blind from his eyes but also blind in the love of his children.
Dhritarashtra wanted to make his elder most son the next king after him. And he was so madly in love with his kids that he did not listen to his elders, royal court officials, and wise people of his kingdom.
He was always surrounded by close friends and relatives. Whatever they fed in his mind, he believed only that.
And when Dhritarashtra realised his mistake, it was too late. He already lost all his children in the battle of Mahabharata.
You see, similar things happened in many businesses where the owners and directors do not pay attention to what corruption is going on inside their business that is hurting their sales and reputation.
They don’t listen to their employees, customers, critics while assigning vital powers to their favourite pets.
They don’t want to see what is right and wrong.
They don’t want to listen to what people are saying about their pets.
They don’t want to argue who is competent and incompetent.
Sadly, these people are the biggest enemies of their own businesses.
And when they realize their mistakes, it’s too late.
These people are today’s Dhritarashtra.
May God bless them with some wisdom!
