I’ve seen many professionals keep making sales calls.

They keep collecting business cards from their prospective customers.

They keep sending greetings to their customers.

They keep adding new contacts in their mobile.

They keep sending friend requests on Facebook and LinkedIn.

These professionals proudly tell their employers, colleagues, friends about how many influential people they know personally… how many contacts they have on the phonebook and social media.

All this networking is good if it’s helping them in getting business.

But the question is… will this strategy make them rich?

Long time back, one business coach told me “It’s not important what you know in business. What important is who you know in business.”

Well, I don’t agree with it, especially in today’s digital age.

Today, you can easily start your business online without anyone’s help.

If you’re a singer and musician, you can easily create your videos and market all over the world without any help from a music company.

If you’re a writer, you can easily publish your books and market all over the world without any help from a traditional publishing company.

If you’re an artist, you can easily sell your art all over the world without any broker’s help.

If you’re a software programmer, you can easily sell your software all over the world without even hiring salespeople.

The point is if you’re good at your craft and learn how to market and sell online, you can create a million-dollar business by just using your computer and mobile.

And for this, it’s not so important who you know in business.

What’s more important now, who knows you in business.
